National park tour
The shuttlebus takes us to La Laguna Grande, situated at 1250 m, and from there we pedal up some 230 vertical metres to the Alto de Garajonay, highest point of the island. On the peak we can enjoy the view of the neighbouring islands, before a fabulous dirt track and subsequent singletrack trail bring us down to the main-road junction of Los Pajaritos. On a short distance along asphalt we can recover before entering our next section of dirt road through our primeval Laurel Forest. At the pottery village of El Cercado we stop off, to taste some of the delicious local food, and then proceed on a secondary road to Las Hayas, where again we enter into rougher terrain. After having
passed the vinyards of Arure and its big reservoir, we head towards the last, fast and rewarding downhill run along the winding asphalt road through the Valley of the Grand King!
